Hi,

I'm 57 years old and have worked for the Park Police since June 22, 1972.

I was born in the Bronx and moved to Brooklyn when I was about 2 years old. I attended P.S.116, in Brooklyn, until 4th grade and then went to St. Brigids grammar school, also in Brooklyn, until 8th grade. My freshman year in high school was at Monsignor McClancy Memorial in Jackson Heights, Queens. My family then moved out on Long Island to Hampton Bays, New York and the remainder of my school years were at Mercy High in Riverhead N.Y. After high school I attended Southampton College for a year and the enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. I spent 13 months in Viet Nam and returned home.

( ALIVE but a little twisted on life and death )

My job in Police work isn't the highest paying job but it is very satisfying. I consider myself to be fair to the public. I treat people the way they treat me. Over the years some of the "powers that be on the job" have become so full of themselves and so self-important that they have driven all of the good times out of the job. They have forgotten that we all started this job together!!!

I am retireing my last day is July 30, 2006.

Hooray!!!!!!

Since the attacks on 09/11/01 I have attended many funerials and Memorial services. I have seen a change in the actions of the American people. It seems that there is a kind of clam all around, people are more tolerant of each other. It's time to reflect and take care of things put off for another day and do them now before it's too late.

Its been 1 year since the attack on this country and there are many many 1 year memorial services. The mood of the people of this country isn't quite as mellow as it was 1 year ago but it's not as bad as it was before 09/11/01. People are still tolerant of things done by other people but not quite as tolerant as they were right after 09/11/01. The news stories and photos of a year ago has reminded people again to take care of the things that they have been putting off because there may not be time to take care of them at a later date down the road.

DO IT NOW!!!

September 11,2004. Hard to believe that it has been 3 years since the attack on our country. People are still better than they were before the attacks but all a little more cautious. Everyone in government is second guessing what should or should have not been done since the attacks but in an election year you have to expect these kind of things.Lets all hope things get better as time goes by.
